PREVENTIVE GYNAECOLOGY

Female healthcare is provided by Alps Hospitals and Diagnostics through a variety of specialist screenings and diagnostic procedures. However, at its core, it is each woman’s responsible attitude toward her own health. Once a year, a woman should see a mammologist for an ultrasound or mammography and a gynecologist for a preventative Pap screening and examination. If cervical illness is suspected, further tests may be performed at the discretion of the gynaecologist.

Other possible test includes;

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Test.

The purpose of this test is to screen for cervical cancer or the presence of infection with high-risk types of human papillomavirus that are associated with a high risk of developing cervical cancer. The test is performed in the gynaecological consulting room.

Ultrasound Examination

Most often the ultrasound examination is vaginal and aims to find out the condition of the uterus and ovaries. After the examination, you will be given detailed information about your condition and recommendations for management.
