The Journey of an IVF Cycle

Starting an In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) cycle can feel like embarking on a complex journey. Understanding what happens day by day can provide comfort and clarity.

Step 1: Ovarian Stimulation

For about 10-12 days, you will receive hormone injections to stimulate your ovaries to produce multiple mature eggs instead of the single one that usually develops each month.

Step 2: Monitoring

During stimulation, you will visit Alps Hospitals regularly for ultrasounds and blood tests to track the growth of your follicles.

Step 3: Trigger Shot & Retrieval

Once follicles reach target size, a final "trigger" injection is given, and 36 hours later, eggs are retrieved under light sedation.
